Sony has updated the PlayStation Plus catalog for December, adding nine games to the Extra and Premium tiers while removing 12 others. The changes are already live in the UK and Europe and are rolling out to US regions later today. The update affects only PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers. Essential-tier users are not included beyond context. Headlining the new additions are Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, both available on PS4 and PS5. Premium subscribers also receive Soulcalibur 3 as part of the PS2 classics catalog. As usual, all Extra-tier games are also playable by Premium users. New games added to PS Plus Extra & Premium

At the same time, Sony removed 12 games from the catalog on December 16. Confirmed removals include Battlefield 2042, Sonic Frontiers, and Grand Theft Auto 3 – The Definitive Edition. Once removed, these titles can no longer be played through PlayStation Plus unless purchased separately. Subscribers who were still playing removed games lose access immediately. Save data remains intact, but the games themselves are locked. Availability can vary by region, and none of the added games are permanent.
