Kini Mobile has partnered with Telus to launch the “Made for Pinoys” prepaid plans.

Built on Telus’ 5G network, the “Pinoy Plans” are cost-effective plans for Filipino-Canadians that let customers use both Philippine and Canadian services on one device.

Here are the plans:

In the press release, Telus notes that the plans also address the unique connectivity needs of  Filipino residents, international students, temporary foreign workers, and travellers who spend time in both countries.

“Telus is proud to support the Filipino community in Canada with connectivity solutions designed specifically for their needs,” says Kal Amery, Vice President, Partner Solutions at Telus. “Our partnership with Kini Mobile recognizes the importance of staying connected across borders, and we’re excited to deliver a service that helps Filipinos maintain those vital connections to family and home on our award-winning 5G network.”

According to the carriers, the Pinoy Plans offered by Kini come with full control, no contracts, no credit checks, and no “billing surprises.”

The plans also include the ability to maintain both Philippine and Canadian numbers. Interestingly, if you are a GCash customer (a Philippine mobile payment service for those unfamiliar), you can earn cash back when you hit Kini’s spending goal. Speaking of spending, Kini also offers bonus data perks with every renewal: 10GB from the third renewal onwards, 20GB from the 12th renewal onwards, and 50GB from the 24th renewal onwards.

The Telus-powered plans offered by Kini are now available both through eSIM and physical SIM. These can be purchased online or at Kini Mobile locations, with the two Canadian locations in the Markham area.

If you were to order a physical SIM online, it would take roughly three to seven business days to arrive.
