The wait is finally over. Discord has officially rolled out its own year-in-review feature, giving users a personalized look back at their activity throughout 2025. It’s called Discord Checkpoint. This new function, much like Spotify Wrapped, compiles your statistics into a shareable summary, celebrating a year of conversations, gaming, and community.

Originally a haven for gamers, the free communication platform has grown into a massive social hub where people connect over every imaginable interest, from book clubs to fan communities. The 2025 Discord Checkpoint feature acknowledges this broad user base by summarizing everything from messages sent to the friends you spent the most time with in voice channels. The feature was launched to commemorate a special milestone for the company.

“We launched Checkpoint in 2025 to celebrate Discord’s 10th anniversary: a decade of the games you’ve played, the friendships you’ve made, and the communities you’ve built here,” a Discord statement confirmed.

What’s Inside Your Discord Checkpoint?

Your personalized 2025 Checkpoint is more than just a simple message count. It’s a detailed breakdown of your digital habits and social interactions on the platform. The summary provides a unique reflection of how you spent your time connecting with others. You get to see the hard numbers behind your year.

Users who qualify for a Checkpoint will see a variety of interesting stats, including:

  • The total number of messages you sent.
  • The amount of time you spent in voice calls.
  • The top games you played while using Discord.
  • The friends you interacted with the most.
  • Your most-used emojis.
  • The servers where you were most active.

After viewing the summary, you’ll be assigned one of ten different Checkpoint cards. Each card comes with a matching avatar decoration, adding a small reward for reviewing your year. This feature has been a frequent request from the community, and Discord decided its tenth anniversary was the perfect occasion to deliver it.

How to Access Your 2025 Discord Checkpoint

Getting your hands on your year-end summary is straightforward, but right now, it’s limited to certain versions of the app. Discord has temporarily disabled the feature for mobile users, so you will need to use a computer to see your stats. Make sure your application is fully updated before you begin.

Follow these steps on the Desktop or Browser version of Discord:

  1. Ensure you have the latest version of the Discord desktop app or are using the most current browser version.
  2. Open Discord and look in the top right corner of the application window.
  3. Click on the green flag icon to start your 2025 Checkpoint review.

While the mobile version is currently unavailable, the process would have involved tapping the ‘You’ tab and selecting the Checkpoint banner. Keep an eye out for updates from Discord regarding the return of mobile access.

Troubleshooting: Why Can’t I See My Checkpoint?

Some users have reported issues with accessing their 2025 Checkpoint. If the green flag icon isn’t appearing for you, there are a few likely reasons. The platform requires a certain amount of activity and a specific setting to be enabled before it can generate your summary.

Here are the primary reasons you might not have a Checkpoint:

  • Insufficient Activity: You may not have been active enough on Discord in 2025 to compile meaningful statistics.
  • Data Settings: You must have the “Use data to personalize my Discord experience” setting enabled. If this was toggled off, Discord did not collect the data needed for your recap.
  • New User: If you joined Discord late in the year, there may not be enough data for a summary.

A spokesperson for the platform clarified the requirements. “If you don’t see a Checkpoint, you may not have had enough activity on Discord to summarize your 2025. Or, you have toggled off ‘Use data to personalize my Discord experience.'”

The good news is that even if you don’t qualify for a personalized summary, you can still get the freebie. All users can claim the Checkpoint Avatar Decoration by following the same steps listed above. You have until January 15, 2026, to view your Checkpoint and claim your reward before the feature disappears. As for what comes next, Discord is keeping its plans quiet, simply saying, “Plans for Checkpoint beyond 2025 are still unfolding. Stay tuned!”
