
Bulgaria is set to become the 21st member of the Eurozone. It will adopt the common currency Euro at the start of the new year 2026. Euro started as an experiment in 1999 with 11 members. Greece joined as the 12th member in 2001 and since then it has added nine members since 2007. While Euro has continued to gain membership, it is odd that Europe has faltered.
